The MRE
(Mechanically Reinforced Earth)software is dedicated to the testing and
planning of retaining works of reinforced earth.
The features which make the MRE software an excellent instrument for the
analysis and calculation of reinforced earths are the following:
Simplicity
in the definition of the model geometry;
Accuracy
in the calculation phase;
Completeness
of the output returned by the programme.
The software allows an easy data entry, with reference to current planning
situations. It is possible to mould simple geometries made up of a downhill
parameter with a single gradient or more complex geometries, where both the
gradient of the downhill parameter and the arrangement of the different parts of
the downhill profile can change (it is possible to define benches).
From the point of view of the ground property, the calculation model is
subdivided into three parts:
Foundation
ground, where are defined the mechanical and physical properties of the ground
contained in the foundation level;
Fill
ground, where the mechanical and physical properties of the ground
contained on the back of the retaining work (pushing ground)
are defined;
Reinforcement
ground, the mechanical and physical properties of the ground
in direct contact with the reinforcing elements are defined.
